What made you join the CEESS?
Last year, I was the academic rep for CEESS, and it was such a great experience because I got to help students and see how the club runs. However I felt like I wanted to be even more involved, not just in academics, but in building the sense of community that makes CEESS so special. I’ve always enjoyed organizing things, working with people, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, so becoming Co-VP of Internal Affairs felt like the perfect next step. It gives me the chance to take on more responsibility, plan events, and help students feel more connected to each other and to the club.
Biggest engineering pet peeve?
Group projects where half the group disappears.
Any advice for engineering students?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Whether it is to a professor after class or one of the many support center that the engineering faculty provides!
